Who this course is for
The SkillsFuture AI marketing course is for two groups that often arrive through different doors. Individuals — Singaporeans and PRs aged 25 and above — who want to put SkillsFuture Credit toward AI marketing skills rather than let the balance sit unused. And companies, typically SMEs with an internal marketing or operations team, that can claim SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC) for a funded cohort.
It is also the right page if you are an HR or L&D lead trying to work out which of those two routes applies, and whether a public workshop or an in-house run is the better fit. In-house customised training is usually funded through SFEC rather than individual credit, and is the most flexible route when the team wants training on their own tools. Public and modular courses suit individuals and small groups below the typical eight-person in-house minimum.
If you need three days of senior strategic advisory, this is the wrong product — that is consulting or advisory, not a funded course. If you need a team up to speed in three weeks, the SkillsFuture paperwork is also the wrong fit; pay direct and save the funding for the next planned cycle.
Eligibility is not a quality signal
Selected AI marketing training in Singapore is claimable — individuals through SkillsFuture Credit, companies through SFEC — but eligibility attaches to the specific programme and provider, not to the topic. Generic “AI workshops” run by overseas vendors usually do not qualify. The course has to be submitted, vetted and listed.
Funding approval is also not a quality signal, which is where most of the wasted budget goes. The volume of “AI training” on offer in Singapore has roughly quadrupled in two years; the signal-to-noise ratio has dropped. A named instructor who runs the systems they teach, a workshop-to-theory ratio above 3:1, pre- and post-assessment, and a post-workshop artefact the team keeps are better filters than a SkillsFuture logo on a landing page.
The rules on what qualifies under which scheme have shifted more than once in the last 18 months. Treat any guide — including this one — as orientation, and confirm the current listing and claim window with Ivan and on the official SkillsFuture channels before you commit time or budget. The working explainer is the SkillsFuture AI marketing training guide.
What the course covers, and how funding actually works
Participants learn to use AI tools for content creation, SEO and analytics; build marketing automation workflows; and understand AI search (SGE, Perplexity, ChatGPT) well enough to appear in it. Completion is aligned to WSQ standards where the run is a WSQ-accredited modular course. Approved short courses and in-house customised programmes are the other two shapes Ivan delivers — as faculty for institutional partners (SMU Academy, SIT, BCG RISE) and as the direct trainer for Maple Commerce engagements.
For individuals using SkillsFuture Credit: pick an approved course, enrol with the provider, and pay fees minus the credit applied at purchase. Opening credit on this site is described as S$500 for Singaporeans aged 25+, with periodic top-ups, including a mid-career S$4,000 top-up for those aged 40 and above — figures that should be checked on MySkillsFuture before you enrol, because top-ups and eligible course lists change.
For companies using SFEC: confirm eligibility on the official portal, choose a course or in-house programme from an approved provider, pay the provider, then submit the claim with attendance and assessment records. Workshops copy on this site describes SFEC as a S$10,000 company-side credit that can offset eligible training costs, with up to 90% course-fee funding for qualifying SMEs. Most providers, Maple Commerce included, run the claim paperwork on the company’s behalf. Reimbursement timing on the SkillsFuture guide is typically four to six weeks into the company’s SSG account.
What you leave with
A certificate of completion aligned to WSQ standards on accredited runs, plus the practical artefact: workflows and playbooks the participant can use on Monday. The same transfer test as corporate training applies — if nothing in the job changed four to eight weeks later, the credit was spent on an event.
Public workshop formats — AI Marketing Fundamentals, AI Content Strategy, and custom in-house programmes — are listed on Workshops, with SkillsFuture-eligible options marked. The Semantic SEO masterclass on that page is not currently marked SkillsFuture eligible; do not assume every Maple Commerce session is. For a team of eight or more, corporate training is usually the right scoping conversation; this page is the funding and individual-course view of the same practice.
Ivan has delivered SkillsFuture-approved programmes for SMEs, MNCs and public-sector agencies. Named programmes on Results include SMU Academy’s Advanced Certificate in Generative AI for Business Growth and Innovation, SMU-TribeAcademy’s Gen AI for Marketing Specialist course, SIT and BCG RISE faculty work, and Google-appointed regional trainer years before the AI work. Participant reviews from those cohorts are on Reviews.
Frequently asked questions
- Is AI marketing training claimable under SkillsFuture?
- Selected programmes are. Individuals can claim eligible courses through SkillsFuture Credit, and companies funding cohorts may be supported through SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit. Eligibility attaches to the specific programme and provider rather than to the topic, so confirm the course reference before committing time or budget.
- Who can claim SkillsFuture for AI marketing courses?
- Eligible Singaporeans can claim through their individual SkillsFuture Credit. Companies fund cohorts through SFEC where the programme and the employer both qualify. HR and L&D leads generally coordinate the company route; the individual route is claimed by the learner directly.
- How does the SkillsFuture claim actually work?
- In outline: confirm the programme is on an eligible listing, register through the correct route for individual or employer funding, complete the course and attendance requirements, then submit the claim within the stated window. The details change, so check the current process rather than following a guide written a year ago.
- Do you offer SkillsFuture-funded training?
- Yes. Selected training programmes are eligible for SkillsFuture Credits (individual) and SFEC (company-funded). Ivan will confirm eligibility during the initial conversation and can guide you through the claims process.
